PRAISE Report 2 'Fit for Road Safety: From Risk Assessment to Training'

The report presents how driver risk assessment and training can improve work related road safety. The report considers risk assessment as a basis for training, and is of relevance for employers managing all types of vehicles.

The report covers risk assessment and the business case for driver training in the work context; driver training covered by EU legislation (truck and bus drivers); driver training of all other vehicle classes; and existing employer level initiatives and best practices.

ETSC publishes the second PRAISE Fact Sheet, a case study of the Suckling Transport company and an interview with its Managing Director, Peter Larner. Suckling Transport specialises in the transportation of fuel by road and wishes to differentiate itself on this market through its commitment to road safety, notably via driver training.
