Lorcan founded PerformanSC Supply Chain in 2013 and since then he has built the company into a highly regarded supply chain services team. He is a co-founder of the Supply Chain Advisory Group (a peer network for supply chain leaders) and has chaired the End to End Supply Chain Conference in Ireland, on numerous occasions.

Lorcan has worked with some of the world’s largest technology, consumer goods and medical device companies’ supply chain teams with a global supply chain services provider. He ran a global supply chain professional services team, driving strategic and operational change. As Senior Vice President of Marketing and Strategy with ModusLink, he led the organisation’s expansion from high tech into the healthcare and consumer goods markets.

A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, he is a regular contributor to international supply chain events and publications. Lorcan has been quoted on supply chain topics in the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times and was named by Supply and Demand Chain Executive as one of their Supply Chain ‘Pros to Know’.

Fiona Brady is the Head of Operations and Public Affairs for FREE NOW Ireland, and in 2021 was also appointed, by the Minister of Transport, to the Taxi Advisory Committee which advises the Minister and the National Transport Authority of Ireland.

She initially joined FREE NOW in 2016 as a Senior Operations Manager and was subsequently promoted to Head of Operations in early 2018, and Head of Public Affairs in late 2021. 

In her current role, Fiona drives the sustainability and innovation agenda for FREE NOW across Ireland. Engaging with the political ecosystem and public policy to advance how cities and their citizens interact with next generation mobility services. She is also responsible for the development of strategic initiatives to deliver value and positive experiences for FREE NOW drivers and passengers - including electrification of FREE NOW’s taxi fleet, multi-modal diversification and key partnerships with industry stakeholders. 

As part of the senior leadership team, Fiona was instrumental in the company’s transition from Hailo to mytaxi, and most recently to FREE NOW.

Fiona has over 19 years’ experience working in transport, tech and mobility across both public and private sectors.  She started her career in transport at Dublin Bus where she worked for over 11 years, and then moved on to the private sector in 2015, where she held the position of Customer Operations Senior Manager at travel technology solutions provider CarTrawler.

She holds a Diploma in Management Studies, Transport and Aviation from the Institute of Technology Carlow, and an Honours Degree in Social Science from University College Dublin and has recently completed the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford Leading Sustainable Corporations Programme.

Howard’s career in the Supply Chain and Logistics sector spans a fifty-year period with operational, sales and management roles in freight forwarding and shipping line businesses. Following retirement from fulltime activity in 2005, Howard took up a Logistics Consultant role with the Irish Exporters Association (IEA), while continuing as a regular contributor of monthly commentary on the Irish freight transport industry for “Fleet Transport”, as well as writing their bi-monthly, maritime, and supply chain segments.

Howard has represented the IEA in its participation in several high-profile, mainly CEF funded. EU projects, with a focus on multi-modal freight transport and links with Ireland both from Central Europe and along the Atlantic Corridor. He also established and led the IEA’s Rail Freight later, Multimodal Group involving all the major Irish players in these areas.

He is a regular speaker at European events on these issues, and on the problems and opportunities arising from Brexit. The most recent such event was the 2023 Coastlink Conference held in Liverpool.

Howard is an Economics and political science graduate of Trinity College, Dublin and was awarded the fellowship of the CILT in 2013.

Larry has over thirty years’ experience in Food, Agri and Technology sectors. 

Larry is an accountant (FCCA) by profession and a member of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT) and a member of The Irish Institute for Training and Development (MIITD).

Since 2010 Larry has lectured at IT Carlow now South East Technological University (SETU) and is now currently a Programme Director for Supply Chain Programmes.

Larry’s main areas of interest are Finance for Supply Chain Management, Sustainable Supply Chains, Performance Management and Technology use in Supply Chains (particularly Food and Agri Supply Chains)

He is a member of Green Campus for SETU Carlow, a member of SETU Academic Council and a Council member of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.

Heletjé van Staden is an Assistant Professor of Management in the supply chain management area at UCD College of Business. She holds a PhD in Operations Management from KU Leuven, Belgium. Her main research interests lie in operations decision making under uncertainty, with a focus on advancing sustainable agendas. Specifically, her research focuses on real-time synchromodal transportation planning, optimising inventory sourcing strategies given uncertain demand, Industry 4.0 driven maintenance optimisation and exploring decarbonisation opportunities in fashion supply chains. She has experience collaborating with logistics service providers aimed at promoting sustainable transportation planning practices. Her work has been published in the European Journal of Operations Research and featured in the Irish Times.

Tim has recently retired from the Irish National Transport Authority (NT). In the role of Director of Public Transport Services (PTS) Tim had overall responsibility for all public transport services (bus, tram and train) across the State of Ireland ensuring safe, effective and inclusive services.  Tim’s directorate had a budget of approximately €1.2 billion in 2023 and seven teams with 95 staff.  

Tim also had responsibility for service development programmes including Bus Connects network redesigns in Dublin and Cork. An exciting programme Tim launched is known as Connecting Ireland; a project dedicated to the introduction of new rural bus services including App-based Demand Responsive Transport.

Prior to this role Tim was Head of Ticketing at the NTA and oversaw the introduction of the Leap card scheme, Ireland’s national smart ticketing platform.

Tim’s earlier career included five years with Translink in N Ireland and 16 years in the private sector in various roles in logistics.
