CILT Ireland has migrated to a new platform. This is an important upgrade that will improve your interactions with CILT. It is, however, a large undertaking on our part, and while we are taking every measure to ensure a smooth transition, problems can arise during such a transition.
As part of this transition, your previous membership or candidate number (M or A number) is being replaced with a new C number. This will be displayed on your profile on the new site. Going forward, your C number will serve as your primary identifier with CILT Ireland and can be used in communication with us.
You will need to reset your password before you can log in for the first time.
To do this:
Click the Login link at the top right corner of the screen; on the 'Find your account' page enter your previously-registered email address, and click Continue.
If your email is recognised, you’ll be brought to the password screen, where you can click Forgot your Password?
Enter the user email, click Email password reset link, and it will be sent to your email address. Click the link in the email to set your new password and complete your login.
Once you have logged in and your C number has been assigned, you will be able to login in future using either your displayed C number or your email address, along with your chosen password. Keep a note of the C number displayed on your profile, it can be useful in communication with CILT Ireland.
Firstly, please search your email records for previous correspondence with CILT Ireland (the address will contain cilt, hopefully ending in @cilt.ie, coming for example from members@cilt.ie, adr@cilt.ie, exams@cilt.ie, etc). You should try your email address these cilt emails were sent to, on the Find your Account page.
If you are unable to access your account using a known email address, please do not create a new account. Creating a duplicate account may result in your membership history and examination records not being linked to your profile.
Instead, please contact us at communications@cilt.ie with the following details and we will do our best to locate your account:
Full name
Date of birth
Home address
Existing M or A number (if known)
Contact telephone number
When you first log in to the new site, you should review your profile. This contains your personal details as held on our system. Please take a moment to check that all information is correct and up-to-date and make any necessary amendments. You should also note the subscription status on your profile, which allows you to opt in or out of receiving regular CILT communications.
As part of this migration, we are transferring and retaining the following records:
• Exam candidates: If you have previously sat examinations with CILT Ireland, we are required to retain your personal details and examination results on record.
• Institute members: If you were a member of the institute during 2024, 2025, or are a current member, your personal details are being retained in the new system.
If you are no longer a member and you wish to have your personal details removed from the new website, please contact us at communications@cilt.ie and we will arrange for your details to be deleted.
Please note, however, that if you have previously undertaken examinations with CILT Ireland, requesting erasure of your personal data will also result in the permanent removal of your examination records. This means you will no longer be able to obtain an updated ADR license, CPC certificate, or any other certification that relies on those records. We strongly encourage you to consider this carefully before making a request.
We appreciate your patience during this transition. If you have any questions or encounter any difficulties when logging in, please do not hesitate to contact us at communications@cilt.ie.
As part of this process, we have reviewed our records and identified cases where the same individual held multiple accounts on our system — for example, where an individual separately registered as a member and exam candidate. Where we have found accounts sharing the same first name, surname, and date of birth, these have been consolidated into a single unified account. If this applies to you, all your records — including membership history and examination results — will be retained under your merged account, and you will be contacted individually about this.
