The CILT Mobility & Supply Chain Awards judging panel consists of Heletje van Staden, Larry Banville, Lorcan Sheehan, Prof. Brian Caulfield and Sheila Kelleher.
Prof Caulfield is Professor in Transportation and Director of the Trinity Centre for Transport Research. His research addresses global issues such as the environmental impacts of transport and methods to reduce the carbon impacts of transport.
Prof Caulfield has published over 200 papers in international journals and conferences and to date has been awarded over €12 million in research funding. He currently has 5 PhD students and 7 postdoctoral researchers in his research group.
He is an Editor of Transport Policy, a leading international highly ranked journal. He is a member of the International Editorial Board of Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment, Case Studies on Transport Policy, the Journal of Cycling and Micro-mobility Research, and the Journal of Transport Geography.
Heletjé van Staden is an Assistant Professor of Management in the supply chain management area at UCD College of Business. She holds a PhD in Operations Management from KU Leuven, Belgium. Her main research interests lie in operations decision making under uncertainty, with a focus on advancing sustainable agendas. Specifically, her research focuses on real-time synchromodal transportation planning, optimising inventory sourcing strategies given uncertain demand, Industry 4.0 driven maintenance optimisation and exploring decarbonisation opportunities in fashion supply chains. She has experience collaborating with logistics service providers aimed at promoting sustainable transportation planning practices. Her work has been published in the European Journal of Operations Research and featured in the Irish Times.

I am an accountant (FCCA) by profession and a member of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT). I am also a member of The Irish Institute for Training and Development (MIITD).
I have worked for publicly and privately owned companies. Since 2010 I have lectured at IT Carlow now South East Technological University (SETU) and am currently a Programme Director for Supply Chain Programmes.
My main areas of interest are Finance for Supply Chain Management, Sustainable Supply Chains, Performance Management and Technology use in Supply Chains (particularly Food and Agri Supply Chains)
I am a member of Green Campus for SETU Carlow, a member of SETU Academic Council and a Council member of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
Lorcan founded PerformanSC Supply Chain in 2013 and since then he has built the company into a highly regarded supply chain services team. Working with clients across healthcare, high tech, retail, food and drink and the logistics industries, the team has established a reputation for ‘getting things done’ as they support supply chain transformation efforts. He is a co-founder of the Supply Chain Advisory Group (a peer network for supply chain leaders) and has chaired the End to End Supply Chain Conference in Ireland, on numerous occasions.
Lorcan has worked with some of the world’s largest technology, consumer goods and medical device companies’ supply chain teams with a global supply chain services provider. He ran a global supply chain professional services team, driving strategic and operational change. As Senior Vice President of Marketing and Strategy with ModusLink, he led the organisation’s expansion from high tech into the healthcare and consumer goods markets.
A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, he is a regular contributor to international supply chain events and publications. Lorcan has been quoted on supply chain topics in the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times and was named by Supply and Demand Chain Executive as one of their Supply Chain ‘Pros to Know’.
Sheila is a global supply chain leader with many years of experience across all aspects of planning i.e. demand, supply, inventory planning and Sales and Operations Planning/Integrated Business Planning. I lead large global and virtual teams embracing diversity and collaboration driving best practices to deliver optimum business outcomes.
Sheila is Director of Supply Chain Planning and Distribution at GE Healthcare and an active member of Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) Ireland.
