Continuous Reflective Learning

A key element of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport’s approach to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is to make sure individuals take the time to reflect and act on the lessons learnt in the courses.

Reflective learning is important as it helps you to consider:

  • Whether the CPD activity addressed the need set out in your CPD requirement
  • If it filled your knowledge competency or skill gap
  • If it has given you sufficient guidance and knowledge to allow you to act on it
  • The value of the CPD activity to you and whether it met your expectations
  • What is next, in terms of putting the knowledge or skills into action and how this will be done
  • Whether you should pass the knowledge onto others that you work with and how this can be done
