This autumn CILT Skillnet launch their new Certificate in Customs Compliance and Trade Facilitation programme accredited by IT Carlow. CILT Ireland is the promoter of CILT Skillnet who will deliver this programme virtually and in-class.
The cost of these courses is being significantly subsidised in order to support Irish businesses to access this training. Considering the actual costs, potential costs and potential savings in international trade, the cost is a serious investment.
This new programme will upskill businesses in the areas of customs compliance and trade facilitation, focusing on the simplifications and harmonisation of import and export processes. This will facilitate the expedition of goods across international borders and reduce the many costs associated with it.
The team has worked hard to put in place public courses for the delivery of this programme so it can be taught both virtually online and, in a classroom, at IT Carlow.
For any business considering applying for AEO status, CILT Skillnet is thrilled to announce this programme has been recognised by Revenue as meeting the criteria specified under Article 27(1) UCC IA. This means that the programme will be accepted by Revenue Control Officers as an approved training programme when assessing an applicant for AEO status. This is the first and only programme in Ireland to achieve this recognition.
The first virtual delivery course, commencing on 21 September, is fully booked. Further courses are being planned.
