On Thursday 27th of July 2023, CILT Members enjoyed an exclusive site visit to Dublin Port Company. Did you know that Dublin Port were one of the founding members of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Ireland?
Charlie Murphy was a fantastic host, and we thank him for facilitating this member site visit. The morning started off with some light refreshments, where members enjoyed the opportunity to meet fellow members and take in the fabulous views atop the Port Centre.
Attendees were then taken through the 2040 master plan, which includes a 16.5 km active travel/greenway with a distributed museum. Dublin Port places a great emphasis on port-city integration, which was evident throughout the presentation. Members then enjoyed a tour of the port by coach and were able to view what happens behind the scenes of a bustling Dublin Port.
