Join our Purchasing Masterclass taking place on November 10th* at the Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport. *New date.

Our full day Purchasing Strategies masterclass is ideal for junior buyers and purchasing administrators. The course will be delivered by Rita Grange, Associate Lecturer of Life Long Learning at South East Technological University (SETU). CEO of Orbidal, Tony Corrigan will also be delivering a one hour session during the masterclass on e-Tenders. 


The procurement process is how Buyers choose suppliers and services in a fair, transparent and accountable manner. One that protects the buyer as well as the supplier.

The purchase of goods and services is a necessary part of our daily operations and it’s important that those charge with purchasing decisions are given the support necessary to make the best decisions for their Buyers. 

This workshop designed to give buyers practical and straightforward assistance so that goods/services are procured:

  • In line legislation and Buyers internal rules
  • Consistently, efficiently and effectively across all competitions; and
  • So that the best value for public money is achieved

These guidelines have been compiled considering the very latest updates to procurement legislation. They consider the challenges that buyers have faced in trying to balance supplier diversity, value for money, compliance with rules, contract management, innovation, sustainability and social inclusion. 

The day will cover a deep dive into the five topics below, with opportunity for Q & A:


  1. Spend Analysis, the first step to spend management
  2. Portfolio approaches that can help Purchasing with supplier relationship management
  3. Integrating inventory management with purchasing for efficiencies
  4. Make or Buy decisions points
  5. Outsourcing; critical points to consider



Course cost: Members - €100 Non Members - €250
