The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Ireland were deeply saddened this morning to learn of the death of a peacekeeper Private Seán Rooney, serious injury of Private Shane Kearney and injury of several other peacekeepers from Óglaigh na hÉireann (Irish Defence Forces) in a serious incident in Lebanon last night.
We are conscious that many members of the Institute have a background in the defence forces and we would like to keep the families, friends and colleagues of all involved in our thoughts at this difficult time.
