Board Approved Policy on Membership Fees

Individual membership fees are due on the 1^st of January each year and should be paid no later than the 31^st of January for the current year. This applies to FCILT,CMILT and MILT as well as student members.

Corporate membership fees are due on the 1^st June each year and should be paid by the 30^th June for the current year.

Individual and Corporate members who join 3 months after the membership renewal dates will have a pro rata rate applied to their initial membership rate and their renewal will fall due as above. 

Individual members who fail to pay their fees by the 30^th April each year will be removed from membership of the Institute and will no longer have the right to use the post nominals associated with their membership grade. These individuals will be required to reapply for membership. A final warning notice will be issued to each member who hasn’t paid by the 31^st March outlining the potential consequences.

The Board will consider the list of those individual members that haven’t paid their membership at an ordinary meeting of the Board in May of each year and will, if so decided, formally remove those members from membership.  The Board may consider hardship cases as they arise and will have the discretion to waive or otherwise amend fees on a case by case basis.

The entity and the individuals within it will be required to reapply for membership. A final warning notice will be issued to corporate members who haven’t paid by the 30^th August outlining the potential consequences.
