Recently, CILT had the privilege of hosting Knowledge Day at Rosslare Europort as part of Logistics & Supply Chain Skills Week. Organised in collaboration with CILT Mobility & Supply Chain Skillnet, the event showcased the latest innovations, challenges, and opportunities within the logistics and transport sectors and was the final highlight in a busy week of events promoting the logistics sector.
Key highlights included:
- Rory O'Connor (Founder and CEO of Scurri) shared his journey of building a global logistics software company, offering insights into the rapid growth of e-commerce and the influence of social media on consumer behavior.
- Carl Coates from Rosslare Europort presented the port’s evolution into a Smart Port, and the cutting-edge technologies being implemented to digitalise the port.
- A thought-provoking panel discussion with industry leaders like Aisling O'Connor (County Wexford Chamber Skillnet) and James Kearney CMILT (CILT Mobility & Supply Chain Skillnet) explored the role of AI, skills shortages, and diversity in shaping the future of logistics.
